I grew up watching and playing sports and always wanted to be involved in it. So when I knew that I would not be able to make it professionally, I looked into roles associated to sport. Physiotherapy stood out and I became more interested as I learned about the wide scope of clients that physiotherapists can see.
What do you love about being a Physio?
I love seeing the satisfaction clients have after successfully working together to achieve outcomes and fulfil goals, whether it be improving overall quality of life or returning to sports or work. My special interest areas are:
Sports injuries - particularly knees and ankles
Cervicogenic headaches
Acute and chronic injuries
Exercises
Ankle circles and alphabet to improve ankle pain and stiffness
Lumbar extension to improve lower back pain & stiffness
Hip flexor stretch to improve hip tightness and flexibility
Biceps stretch to improve shoulder pain and stiffness
Triceps stretch to improve shoulder pain
Upper trapezius stretch to improve neck pain & stiffness
Levator scapulae stretch to improve neck pain and headaches
