Why did I become a physio?

Being very active and playing elite level sport when I was growing up made me curious about how the body works and what you can do to improve its performance. Therefore, Physiotherapy stood out to me as a way to be able to do that for both the general population and those looking to get the best out of their sporting performances.

What do you love about being a Physio?

Being able to combine my love of sports and the human body, as well as the satisfaction that comes when you help patients find answers to their health problems and contribute positive change to their lives, makes every day as a Physio enjoyable. My special interests lie in: Knee and foot injuries; Return to sport pathways; Occupational health and injury management; Post-surgical rehabilitation. With a passion for soccer, having played in the NSW Premier League for 8 years and as a fully licensed coach, Matthew has invaluable insight into the specific needs of elite sports people. Matthew is an Italian speaking Physiotherapist and is able to provide services for those that require consultations in Italian.
