I didn't fully understand the role of a Physiotherapist when I decided to pursue this career path. Still, I have always had a genuine appreciation of the human anatomy, how the body moves and the physiological changes it undergoes through an injury or illness. I have always tried to adopt a holistic approach to health and deciding to become a physiotherapist aligned with this value by being able to address the physical, mental and emotional components of health through our lifestyle.
My favourite part about my work is being able to empower my patient's through education and exercise, and by doing so I'm able to make an immediate impact. Being able to see the positive outcomes and the progress my patient's make over the course of their treatment journey makes me excited to continue doing what I do.
