Hi there!
My name is Lawrence and I joined the Activ Therapy team back in 2014 at our Chipping Norton clinic.
Back in high school, I always knew that I wanted to help people in the health industry. When I first became a Physiotherapist, my focus was helping recreational athletes in the Gym, Weightlifting and Powerlifting arena.
It all started in 2010 when a friend introduced me to CrossFit which involved “constantly-varied, functional movements executed at high intensity”. I loved how there were so many skills to learn and each session was different. Being an achiever-type, I was immediately hooked – I had to learn all of these skills ASAP!
But, in my excitement, I quickly learned that even though the mind is willing, the body may not be capable (yet). I picked up injuries of my shoulders, neck and lower back at multiple stages, with my disc injury stopping me from training for over 6 months.
I was so frustrated at not being able to train anymore and watching my training go backwards. To be honest, I was also very scared because I didn’t know what to do… Would I ever be able to train again?

“Proper movement is the secret to pain-free living, injury prevention and high performance”
Long story short, after many long months of trial and error, I figured out how to get rid of my pain and return to training without anything holding me back!
Because I know how bad it is to be in constant pain and to feel so uncertain about your future, I’m now very impatient with my treatment approach and expect immediate results for my clients. I work best with clients who are high-performers and are equally as motivated to attain results.
I believe that in order to get long-term results, you must learn how to move well through a formalised exercise rehabilitation program. It’s the same for barbell athletes, weekend warriors, shift-workers or your everyday Mum or Dad.
In the last 6 years as a Physiotherapist, my role has developed and I now spend most of my mentoring our therapists and teaching them how to effectively implement our Activ Signature System. I continue to look after my long-term clients and take on New Clients on a limited basis only.
