Shannon joins the team at Activ Therapy with a Masters of Clinical Exercise Physiology and Bachelor of Health Science (Sport & Exercise Science). Prior to her university studies she worked in the fitness industry for over 10 years and is also a qualified Remedial Massage Therapist.
Exercise Physiology is a type of treatment designed to facilitate the process of recovery from injury, illness, or disease and allow patients to live a better quality of life. Through exercise prescription and instruction Shannon will help to better manage your injury or condition, help to reduce pain and improve your movement and function. During your sessions, she will also help you to understand your condition better and create an individualised exercise program.
With previous experience across various clinical settings, Shannon brings experience in dealing the following areas:
Shannon has a sporting background as a National level Swimmer and enjoys being active. When she is not working she loves to travel and watch rugby.
