Robert (Rob) hails from Singapore, and graduated with Honours (First Class) from the
University of Sydney.
Rob has experience working with various sporting teams such as the Balmain Tigers AFC,
and providing first aid for the Sydney Junior Rugby Union. This, along with his previous work
at Westmead Rehabilitation Hospital, has developed in him a passion for helping clients
return to functional activities and sport.
Along with being an extremely active individual (he wakes up at 5.30 every morning to hit
the gym!), Rob has previous experience in competitive tennis, and loves bouldering. He has
also dabbled in volleyball, Muay Thai and loves hill sprints and High Intensity Interval
Training (HIIT). His own personal shoulder and back injuries have developed in him a keen
understanding in the importance of effective rehabilitation in order to continue doing what
you love. He also brings with him a keen interest in headaches and neck pain.
Rob believes in setting client-centered rehabilitation goals – tailoring exercise programs to
his client’s specific needs. He also believes in a hands-on approach to physical therapy to
reduce pain, and increase mobility and function. He also aims to encourage lifelong physical
activity and fitness.
Rob has completed various additional training including:
- Sports Trainer Level 1
- Gateway Level 1 (Mat) by Polestar Pilates
- Integrated Solutions for Neck and Head Pain
Outside of work, Rob can be found reading, and indulging in his coffee addiction.
