Front desk receptionist
What we are looking for:
Are you comfortable with talking to patients both in person and on the phone? Are you a self-
starter? Is being ‘organised’ a top priority in your life and are you able to multi-task and prioritise
projects, while simultaneously meeting deadlines and prioritising your day?
Can you communicate effectively with people from all different backgrounds – both written and
verbal? Are you able to speak up when you are able to see something that is not working and can
anticipate the needs of other people because you show up for work knowing the smallest details
always make the difference?
Do you have a positive outlook on life? Are you flexible, open to change, and committed to
learning? If so, you could be just the person we are looking to fill the position we have available in
the reception and front desk at one of our busy clinics.

record of dealing with customers, answering queries on the phone and in person, and turning

The Role:
You will be responsible for managing a busy front desk and waiting room experience, meeting and
greeting our patients, answering the phone, converting enquiries into paying patients and ensuring
that all our patients are looked after and made to feel welcomed at ActivTherapy. Ultimately you will
be creating a life-long customer service experience the patient will be happy to tell others about.
Tasks:
Communicate the value of our services to our patients
Successfully handle price objections
Hold lengthy conversations with new patients ensuring that they are committed and bought
into our service
Provide an exceptional waiting room environment for our patients that they’ll look forward
to coming back to
Ensure people are scheduled and show up excited for their first appointment
Communicate with patients before, during and after appointments to ensure satisfaction is
being achieved
Organise and plan schedules
Ensure all invoices are raised on time
Develop and regularly update the procedures so that every aspect of the role is documented
and can be taught to new team members
Skills/Competencies Needed:
Be able to hold meaningful conversations with prospective patients longer then 10minutes
Be able to answer queries over the phone in such a way that increases the chances of
converting a person into a customer.
