Hello!
I’m Elaine, I’ve been a Physiotherapist for 9 years. My passion for the human body all began in high school where I played most sports such as indoor soccer, touch football, oz-tag, cricket. I would see lots of my friends getting injured (and I had my fair share myself!) and this fuelled my curiosity and passion for figuring out what the injury was. I always wanted to be the person that could help take the fear out of the unknown when you are in pain. In my early 20's, I was diagnosed with a rare spinal condition which caused me to have debilitating chronic nerve pain in my right leg. I had real life experience of what it was like to be a patient that didn't know who to trust: I saw doctors, surgeons, Physiotherapists, Chiropractors and Exercise Physiologists who all provided me with different information! Ultimately, through sheer determination, I found the right therapist who taught me the right exercises to rehabilitate and manage the injury. Now I’ve proudly been pain free for over 10 years despite still having the condition! Therefore, I strive to support and provide the best care for all my patients, as I know how hard it can be to be in pain and not know who to trust! My passion for snowboarding and Physiotherapy, led me to seek the opportunity to work as a Physiotherapist for two snow seasons in Niseko, Japan. I was exposed to an expansive array of injuries such as ACL/MCL tears, AC joint injuries, whiplash injuries which has allowed me to master my skills as a primary care practitioner and advise you on the best course of action for your injury. When I’m not working, I am constantly learning and being challenged as a mum to a 1 year old! Qualification & Experience
